Usually, “free games eight ball” is a phrase that is used by local bars to draw in the crowds, however, it’s a great time to brush up on your billiards skills while hanging out with friends. It seems that eight ball is the classic version of pool that is most common across the country and can be found for free anywhere from college campus recreation rooms, basements, pool halls and even major corporation lounges in order to provide employees with a stress reliever. This is a game full of tradition that has lasted the test of time and is enjoyed by people of all races and ability. And although billiards is a great way to unwind by yourself, eight ball is perfect for the person who wants to relax while hanging out with a friend.

Classic eight ball can be refereed to by anything from strips and solids, to highs and lows, however, no matter what the name is the standard rules remain the same. Depending on the crowd that you are playing with, or if it’s in tournament play, this game is usually a “called shot” type of game in which the shooter needs to call his shot ahead of time in order to successfully count the pocketed ball and keep his turn. The solid colored balls are numbered one though seven and the strip balls are labeled nine through fifteen with the eight ball being black. The first person to pocket their assigned balls has the opportunity to call the eight ball and win the game. What makes this game so popular around the world is the fact that no matter where you are in the country, people recognize and are familiar with the rules of this game.

The benefits of playing billiards range from person to person, but the enjoyment of playing the eight ball version of this classic game is what keeps it so popular today. With the ability to hang out with old friends and opportunity to make new friends this game is perfect for everyone. So regardless if you take advantage of an advertisement that says “free games eight ball” or decide to pay for it, the benefits far out weigh the cost.
