It seems that pool shooting tips websites are all over the internet. While many sites, for the most part, mimic the same type of instruction as each other, some can actually contradict each other. The most important thing to remember as a billiards player is to take any information that is given to you and adapt it to your style of play. If you are having trouble with the mechanics of your shot, then maybe breaking down your play to the basic fundamental may be the best place to start. Remember with all the “expert” advice out there guiding you, sometimes the best advice is listening to yourself.

Finding a relaxed style that fits your play can be the best way to start. All players have a different way in which they approach the table. But the one thing that they all have in common is that they choose a style unique to themselves. Sure, you can take advice and even mimic some of the best, but it needs to be done in a way that fits you. While some instructors might use a high loose grip on the cue others may use a low tight grip. Furthermore, some experts even argue that a proper grip is accomplished mainly by the thumb, ring finger, middle finger and nothing else. While as others swear by a full fingered grip to gain better accuracy. While either grip can work effectively only one might feel right for you. The most important thing to remember is that the style and grip needs to work for your play

An other thing that people tend to dissect is a players stance. Some might say to get good power through the break, then you must stand with your feet shoulder with apart for a proper base. While that may work for most, what about taller shooters that may need to spread their feet more in order to comfortable be level to the sight of the cue? The point is with all the pool shooting tips out there today, just remember to pick and choose the best ones that match your personal style of play.
